Login to the Orchestrator and click on the Gateways menu on the left-hand side, then from the status window on the right, click the name of the Gateway you are interested in.
The firmware version and status will be displayed in the status window on the far right. Make sure the Gateway is online.
If there is a firmware upgrade available, the UPDATE FIRMWARE button will be colored red.
In this example the Gateway is currently running firmware version 0.9.7.
To start the upgrade, click on the UPGRADE FIRMWARE button. The firmware upgrade will upgrade the Gateway firmware to the same firmware version as the Orchestrator.
The new firmware will be downloaded, and the gateway will reboot to upgrade.
The upgrade will interrupt traffic to the endpoints attached to the Gateway for the time it takes the Gateway to reboot.
Whilst the Gateway is performing the upgrade its status will be indicated as offline and traffic to any attached endpoint is interrupted during the time when the gateway reboots.
Once the upgrade has completed, the Gateway’s status will change to online and the new firmware version will be indicated.
In this example the Gateway has been successfully upgraded to firmware release 0.9.8.
You can now validate connectivity to the attached endpoints.
